Pinstriped drop-crotch breeches, assembled from irregular panels with exposed seams, raw edges & rope ties.

The 430 Ragamuffin Breeches take their name from the much older meaning of ragamuffin: the ragged, rough-looking fellow — disreputable, dishevelled & assembled without much concern for polite appearances.

Cut with an exaggerated dropped crotch & loose, crooked silhouette, the breeches are constructed from contrasting directions of black pinstripe. Panels interrupt one another, seams are deliberately exposed & edges are left unfinished. Frayed cloth, hanging threads & rope ties become part of the construction rather than something to be tidied away.

The waistband is deliberately irregular & gathered, with a heavy cotton  drawcord allowing the breeches to be pulled & distorted around the body. Small printed 430 details appear amongst the construction rather than as conventional branding.

The result sits somewhere between old workwear, improvised clothing & an accidentally elegant pair of trousers that have been repaired once too often.
