THE CRYPT — LONDON WC2

Some images refuse to disappear.

Originally photographed in the crypt beneath St Martin-in-the-Fields in Trafalgar Square, this architectural detail has appeared across various Strangely pieces over the years, including hats & printed textiles.

For this latest interpretation, the image has been enlarged & extended into a substantial block of white artwork, interrupting the surface of a long black singlet.

The silhouette is deliberately elongated, with a relaxed sleeveless construction & a hem falling towards the knee. Designed to be worn loose, layered over shorts or trousers, or simply on its own.

An exercise in proportion, architectural imagery & the continuing reworking of the Strangely visual archive.
